Research, Strategy & Collaboration

The Great Lakes Science Center Exhibit was a collaborative group project focused on designing an engaging, educational experience for young museum visitors to walk through and experience. Working together in Figma, our team explored ways to make confusing concepts approachable, interactive, and visually exciting for children. We landed on exploring the journey of the Artemis II, since the launch was happening at the time, and we thought it would be a great way to introduce children to the concept and make it so they understand current world events. Every group member contributed ideas and feedback throughout the process, creating a supportive and productive team dynamic that strengthened the final outcome.

Designing a Cohesive Experience

As a group, we worked closely to establish a cohesive visual identity for the exhibit by selecting a color palette, defining the overall design style, choosing typography that was both playful and easy to read, and organizing content in a clear and engaging way. Through collaborative discussions and iterative design in Figma, we refined each element to ensure the exhibit felt consistent, inviting, and age-appropriate. This project highlighted the value of teamwork and thoughtful design decision-making in creating an experience that is both educational and visually engaging.
